The Laerdal Pocket Mask is crafted specifically for use by professional rescuers and first responders. It provides excellent protection for both the rescuer and the individual in need. This mask integrates a low-resistance one-way valve with a disposable hydrophobic filter to help block the transfer of fluids and secretions.
The design allows the rescuer to observe the patient's mouth color, secretions, and chest movements from a safe distance. An optional oxygen inlet supports the delivery of additional oxygen during ventilation for a non-breathing patient or for inhalation by a spontaneously breathing patient.
