  • 4 droppers pre-filled with diluent
  • 1 code chip

Preparation

Carefully dissolve the contents of one vial by adding the contents of one dropper, then let it sit closed for at least 1 minute to reconstitute. Gently swirl the vial to mix. The reconstituted control material remains stable for 30 minutes. Do not store the reconstituted control material for future use.

Assay

  1. Set up the meter and a test strip following the instructions in the operator's manual and the test strip guidelines.
  2. Insert the quality control code chip into the meter.
  3. Use the dropper to apply a single hanging drop of the control material to the sample application area of the test strip. Retain the remaining control solution until the test result is confirmed, and for repeating the quality control check if needed. Use the control material within 30 minutes of reconstitution.
