The Evacuation sheet is constructed from Transtex fabric and is designed to stay beneath the mattress, ensuring quick evacuation of patients or residents. In emergencies, it envelops the patient, securing them within the mattress to create a protective sledge. Drag loops at both ends facilitate swift removal of the patient from the premises. Two securing options are available to keep the evacuation sheet in place under the mattress: 1. Velcro straps that attach the sheet to the bed frame.

2. Elastic straps that encircle each end of the mattress. If the evacuation sheet becomes soiled, it can be easily detached for cleaning.

  • Capacity: Supports a maximum patient weight of 400kg with a safe working load of 160kg.

Under normal conditions, your Evacuation sheet requires no maintenance. Regular inspections are advised as accidental damage may occur. Pay attention to stitching, webbing, and fabric condition as they may degrade over time.

  • Laundering: Adhere to standard hospital laundry guidelines HSG (95)18. Avoid using bleaching agents.
  • Latex free: Maximum recommended washing temperature is 80° C. Drip dry, with a low-temperature tumble dry if necessary.
  • For all repositioning and manual handling solutions, it is advisable to consult a manual handling expert for guidance and approval.
