3M Scotchcast Soft Cast Casting Tape 82102 is a semi-rigid fibreglass casting tape that remains flexible and soft even after full curing. This box of 10 rolls provides a cost-effective supply for clinics and departments that regularly use semi-rigid casting. Each roll measures 5cm x 3.6m in white, allowing clinicians to select the precise level of stability needed at the injury site while permitting the rest of the limb to function normally.

Key Features and Specifications

  • Semi-rigid design stays flexible and soft after curing
  • Allows clinician-controlled stability at the injury site
  • Permits normal limb function outside the treatment area
  • Can be removed by unwinding or cutting with scissors without a cast saw
  • Patients can bathe, shower, and swim when used with 3M Polyester Stockinette (if clinically approved)
  • Slim profile allows footwear to be worn over lower limb casts
  • Box of 10 rolls, each 5cm x 3.6m, white

Applications

Designed for removable casts, combination casting techniques, and specialist applications in physiotherapy, podiatry, and paediatric orthopaedics. Suitable for sports medicine (thumb, wrist, and ankle sprains), serial casting for clubfoot, and removable splints in occupational therapy. The bulk pack of 10 is ideal for fracture clinics, casting suites, and physiotherapy departments with regular demand for semi-rigid casting materials.
