Atrauman Dressings (7.5 x 10cm, box of 50) are non-medicated, low-adherent wound contact layers made from hydrophobic polyester mesh impregnated with neutral triglycerides. The 1mm pore size allows exudate and air to pass through freely while preventing granulation tissue from growing into the dressing, resulting in less pain and trauma at dressing changes.

Key Features

  • Neutral Triglyceride Impregnation: Fatty acid coating enhances non-stick properties without Vaseline or paraffin residue
  • 1mm Pore Size: Prevents granulation tissue embedding while allowing free exudate drainage
  • Hydrophobic Polyester Mesh: Maintains soft, flexible wound edges and helps prevent scar tissue contraction
  • Atraumatic Removal: Reduces pain and tissue damage during dressing changes
  • Air and Exudate Permeable: Supports a moist wound healing environment without trapping fluid
  • Individually Wrapped: Each of the 50 dressings is sterile and separately packaged for single use

Applications

Atrauman Dressings are used across UK hospitals, GP surgeries, community nursing and care homes for managing acute and chronic wounds. Suitable as a primary contact layer on surgical wounds, skin grafts, abrasions, lacerations and leg ulcers. The 7.5 x 10cm size fits a wide range of wound dimensions.
