Bedfont piCO Smokerlyzer® – Professional Breath CO Monitor for Smoking Cessation

The Bedfont piCO Smokerlyzer® is a handheld, portable breath carbon monoxide (CO) monitor designed for stop smoking services, GP surgeries, pharmacies and specialist respiratory clinics. This easy-to-use device provides instant, accurate breath CO readings (ppm) and %COHb, helping clinicians clearly demonstrate the harmful effects of smoking and motivate patients to quit.

Featuring a large, intuitive touchscreen display with simple on-screen prompts, the piCO Smokerlyzer® guides patients through each breath test and displays results within seconds, supported by an easy-to-understand green–amber–red traffic light system. The monitor is calibration-free, reducing downtime and ongoing maintenance costs, while optional verification gas kits are available for routine performance checks.

Designed with infection control in mind, the unit incorporates SteriTouch® antimicrobial casing and uses D-piece™ and single-use mouthpieces to minimise cross-contamination between patients. With optional PC connectivity via COdata+™ software, results can be captured, stored and reviewed for audit, reporting and long-term smoking cessation programmes.
