Vivatmo Oxycaps are single-use chemical mouthpieces designed exclusively for the Bosch Vivatmo Pro FeNO (fractional exhaled nitric oxide) analyser. Each Oxycap conditions the patient's exhaled breath sample before it reaches the sensor, ensuring accurate and repeatable FeNO readings for asthma diagnosis and airway inflammation monitoring.
Each mouthpiece contains multiple chemical layers that perform two critical functions during the exhalation manoeuvre. First, they remove moisture and other interferents from the breath sample that would otherwise distort the reading. Second, they convert nitrogen monoxide (NO) into nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), which the Vivatmo Pro's electrochemical sensor measures. This on-board sample processing is what gives the Vivatmo Pro its laboratory-grade accuracy at the point of care.
