The Welch Allyn 3.5V Core Diagnostic Set is a professional diagnostic examination kit designed for routine eye and ear examinations in primary care, clinical and community healthcare settings. The complete set combines a 3.5V Coaxial LED Ophthalmoscope, 3.5V Basic LED Otoscope, 3.5V C-Cell Alkaline Battery Handle and protective hard carry case.
Designed for healthcare professionals who require reliable diagnostic instruments in a convenient portable format, the Welch Allyn 3.5V diagnostic set provides LED illumination, adjustable light intensity and compatible 3.5V instrument heads. The set also includes 5 LumiView Clear ear specula for use with the otoscope.
The included Welch Allyn 3.5V Coaxial LED Ophthalmoscope is designed for retinal examination and features a patented coaxial optical system. The coaxial design helps minimise reflections and shadows during examination, while LED illumination provides consistent lighting and natural colour representation.
The ophthalmoscope features 28 focusing lenses ranging from -25 to +40 dioptres, together with eight aperture and filter combinations for different examination requirements. A polarising filter helps reduce corneal reflections, while the cobalt blue filter can be used for corneal assessment and fluorescein examinations.
The Welch Allyn 3.5V Basic LED Otoscope provides bright fibre-optic illumination for examination of the ear canal and tympanic membrane. Its sealed system is suitable for pneumatic otoscopy, making it suitable for routine ear examinations in primary care and other clinical settings.
The otoscope uses bright white LED illumination with fibre-optic technology and cool light transmission. The design provides clear visualisation while the included LumiView Clear disposable ear specula are supplied for examination use.
The included Welch Allyn 3.5V C-Cell Alkaline Battery Handle provides power for the diagnostic instrument heads. Its ergonomic design features a non-slip grip and adjustable rheostat, allowing clinicians to control the illumination level during examinations.
The handle is compatible with Welch Allyn 3.5V diagnostic instrument heads and is supplied with two alkaline C-cell batteries.
The supplied hard carry case provides a convenient solution for storing, organising and transporting the diagnostic instruments. The case accommodates the included battery handle together with compatible Welch Allyn otoscope and ophthalmoscope heads.
