The Welch Allyn Pocket PLUS LED Ophthalmoscope in Mulberry delivers a focused, coaxial beam for detailed fundoscopic examinations in a compact, pocket-friendly instrument. Powered by SureColor LED technology, it produces a bright, neutral white light that reveals retinal structures, optic disc margins and vascular detail with greater clarity than conventional halogen ophthalmoscopes, making it a practical choice for GP surgeries, optometry practices and ward-based assessments.

Key Features

  • SureColor LED Optics: Delivers a consistent, daylight-balanced beam that renders retinal pigmentation, vessel colour and disc pallor accurately, helping clinicians spot subtle pathology without the yellow tint of halogen bulbs.
  • Coaxial Optical System: Aligns the illumination and viewing axes to reduce corneal reflections and provide a wider, clearer view of the fundus through an undilated pupil.
  • Pocket-Sized Design: Lightweight and slim enough to carry in a lab coat pocket, ideal for ward rounds, home visits and multi-room clinics where a full-size diagnostic wall unit is unavailable.
  • Optional Personalised Engraving: The handle can be engraved with a name or initials to prevent mix-ups in shared clinical environments.
  • AA Battery Powered: Runs on standard AA batteries for convenient, low-cost power that is easy to replace anywhere without proprietary charging systems.
