Needles and Syringes for Clinical Use

Vena Cava supplies hypodermic needles, safety needles and syringes for GP surgeries, aesthetic clinics, care homes, pharmacies and community nursing teams across the UK. Syringes

Choose Luer lock syringes for secure needle attachment when injecting or drawing up, or Luer slip syringes for quick needle changes. We stock sizes from 0.5ml to 100ml, including low dead space syringes that reduce wasted medicine, oral and enteral syringes, and catheter tip syringes for irrigation and feeding.

Hypodermic and Safety Needles

Hypodermic needles are colour coded by gauge, from 18G (pink) for drawing up to 30G for fine intradermal work. Safety-engineered needles such as BD Eclipse and Unifine Safety help employers meet the Health and Safety (Sharp Instruments in Healthcare) Regulations 2013 by reducing the risk of needlestick injury.

Insulin Syringes and Pen Needles

For diabetes care we carry U-100 insulin syringes with fixed needles and pen needles from 4mm to 12mm that fit most insulin and GLP-1 pens. Shorter 4mm and 5mm pen needles are now recommended for most adults to reduce the risk of intramuscular injection. Not sure which size to choose?
