Carbon Monoxide Monitors for Stop Smoking Services

A breath carbon monoxide (CO) monitor gives an instant, objective reading of recent smoking. Stop smoking advisers, GP surgeries, community pharmacies and maternity teams use CO readings to confirm smoking status, motivate quit attempts and verify that a patient has stopped. NICE guidance recommends offering CO testing to pregnant women at antenatal appointments.

Consumables and Verification
