The Russell PneumoFix®-8 is a sterile decompression device featuring a veress-tipped needle within an 8cm catheter, equipped with a low-pressure release valve. The veress tip and indicator facilitate safe insertion, minimizing the risk of lung injury, while the valve efficiently releases tension pneumothorax with reduced risk of air re-entry.

Constructed with a stainless steel veress-tipped needle and a Tecoflex Polyurethane catheter, the Russell PneumoFix®-8 includes barium sulphate (20%) for X-ray visibility.

  • A syringe can be connected to the female luer connector of the Veress needle.
  • Supplied in a sterile condition.
  • Features graduated markings and an X-Ray detectable catheter for precise depth measurement and accurate hospital localization.
  • The 14-Gauge catheter enables swift air venting in cases of tension pneumothorax.
