The CoaguChek XS PT Test Strips from Roche are designed for accurate prothrombin time (PT/INR) self-testing at home or in a clinical setting. This pack contains 2 boxes of 24 strips (48 total), providing excellent value for patients on long-term anticoagulation therapy who need regular INR monitoring.

Key Features

  • Compatible Meters: Works with the CoaguChek XS and CoaguChek INRange systems
  • Electrochemical Technology: Delivers fast, precise PT/INR results from a small capillary blood sample
  • Built-in Quality Control: Each strip carries a barcode that the meter reads to verify lot-specific calibration
  • Simple Testing: Apply a drop of blood to the test zone and receive your result in approximately one minute
  • Convenient Pack Size: 48 strips (2 x 24) for extended monitoring between prescriptions

How It Works

The strip uses an electrochemical detection method. A small drop of capillary blood from a fingertip is applied to the yellow application zone. The meter then measures clotting time and converts it to an INR value, which you can share with your anticoagulation clinic or GP.

Storage

Store strips in the original container at room temperature. Use within the marked expiry date and within the timeframe indicated after first opening.

Applications

  • Patient self-testing for warfarin management
  • GP surgeries and anticoagulation clinics
  • Care homes and district nursing teams
