Atrauman Dressing (10 x 20cm, pack of 30) is a non-medicated, non-adherent wound contact layer made from hydrophobic polyester mesh infused with neutral triglycerides. Free from vaseline and paraffin, it allows exudate and air to pass through freely while preventing the dressing from sticking to the wound bed, ensuring pain-free removal and uninterrupted healing.

Key Features

  • Non-Adherent Polyester Mesh: 1mm pore size prevents granulation tissue from infiltrating the dressing, reducing trauma at removal
  • Vaseline and Paraffin Free: Neutral triglyceride impregnation leaves no residue, keeping wound edges soft and flexible to minimise scar contraction
  • Hydrophobic Fibres: Allow wound exudate and air to pass through to a secondary absorbent dressing
  • Non-Medicated: Suitable for patients with sensitive or allergy-prone skin
  • Large 10 x 20cm Size: Covers broader wound areas including abdominal and limb wounds
  • Sterile and Individually Wrapped: 30 dressings per box, each sealed for aseptic application

Applications

Atrauman is widely used across NHS wound care services, surgical wards, and community nursing teams throughout the UK. Suitable for all stages of wound healing, including cuts, lacerations, abrasions, leg ulcers, pressure sores, burns, scalds, and donor and recipient sites in skin grafting procedures.
