Atrauman is a non-medicated polyester mesh wound contact layer from Hartmann, designed to sit directly on the wound bed and prevent dressings from sticking to healing tissue. Its 1mm pore size stops granulation tissue from growing into the mesh while still allowing exudate and air to pass freely through the dressing. Infused with neutral triglycerides (fatty acids) rather than traditional vaseline or paraffin, Atrauman leaves no oily residue and keeps wound edges soft and supple to reduce scar contracture. This 20 x 30cm format is the largest size available, suitable for extensive wound coverage. Supplied as a box of 10 individually wrapped sterile dressings.

Applications
Atrauman 20 x 30cm is used across NHS wound care clinics, burns units and community nursing teams for managing large acute and chronic wounds. It is particularly suited to extensive surgical wounds, skin graft donor sites, leg ulcers and burns where a non-adherent primary contact layer is needed beneath a secondary absorbent dressing.
