Celox Haemostatic Granules deliver rapid bleeding control for severe wounds by forming a robust gel clot on contact with blood. The 15g sachet contains chitosan-based granules that conform to irregular wound cavities, applying targeted pressure to the bleeding source without generating heat. Proven effective in both civilian trauma and military field use, Celox works on anticoagulated blood (including patients on Warfarin or Heparin) and in hypothermic conditions where normal clotting is compromised.

Key Features

  • Rapid Haemostasis: Granules form a strong gel clot within seconds of contact with blood, sealing the wound quickly
  • Non-Exothermic: Generates no heat during activation, eliminating the risk of thermal tissue damage
  • Works on Anticoagulated Blood: Effective on patients taking Warfarin, Heparin, or other blood-thinning medications
  • Cold-Condition Performance: Maintains clotting ability in hypothermic casualties where normal coagulation is impaired
  • Conforms to Wound Geometry: Granule format fills deep, irregular, and cavity wounds that flat dressings cannot reach
  • Simple Application: Open sachet, pour granules onto the wound, apply direct pressure, and pack firmly
  • CE Certified: Meets European medical device standards for pre-hospital and clinical haemorrhage control

Applications

Designed for use by paramedics, first responders, military medics, and trained first aiders managing moderate to severe haemorrhage. Suitable for inclusion in trauma kits, ambulance supplies, workplace major incident packs, and outdoor adventure first aid kits across the UK. Ideal for deep puncture wounds, lacerations, and arterial or venous bleeding requiring immediate stabilisation before hospital transfer.
