The Locomotor Multi-Lift Hoist is a dual-function mobile patient hoist that serves as both a standard passive hoist and a sit-to-stand stander, all in one unit. Supporting up to 160kg (25st.) with motorised leg adjustment and innovative spreader bar attachments, it handles both weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing patients, making it one of the most versatile hoists available for NHS hospitals, care homes, and community settings across the UK.

Key Features

  • Dual Function: Converts between a standard passive hoist and a sit-to-stand stander without tools (handling weight only 5kg)
  • 160kg (25st.) Safe Working Load: Accommodates a wide range of patients
  • Motorised Leg Adjustment: Electric leg opening provides smooth, controlled access beneath beds and chairs
  • Innovative Spreader Bar: Purpose-designed attachments ensure maximum safety during sling connections
  • Adjustable Shin Pad: Height and width adjustable to safeguard patients' legs and minimise swinging in hoist mode
  • Quick-Release Conversion: Tool-free switch between hoist and stander configurations

Standard Hoist Mode

For non-weight-bearing patients, the Multi-Lift operates as a conventional passive hoist with a shin pad that protects patients' legs and reduces swinging during transfers.

Stander Mode

For weight-bearing patients, the quick-release stander attachment allows patients to be raised to a standing position for toileting, washing, dressing, or transitioning between seated positions.

Applications

An excellent choice for hospital wards, residential and nursing homes, rehabilitation units, and community care settings where both passive lifting and sit-to-stand transfers are needed. The dual functionality eliminates the cost and storage requirements of owning two separate units.
