The Replenishment Pack for the HK Mercury Spillage Kit extends the service life of an existing unused kit by 3 to 4 years at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a complete new kit. Designed for spillage kits that are approaching or have passed their expiry date (shown on the date label on the back of the kit), this pack replaces all consumable and time-sensitive components while the durable items in the original kit continue to be used.

Key Features

  • Cost-Effective Life Extension: Extends the usability of your existing mercury spillage kit by 3 to 4 years without replacing the entire unit
  • Replaces All Time-Sensitive Items: Includes fresh microfine sulfur and calcium hydroxide chemicals, a new waste container, brush, scoop, syringe, dust mask and updated expiry label
  • Simple Swap Process: Remove expired chemicals and consumables, replace with the new pack contents, and apply the fresh expiry label
  • Proper Disposal Guidance: Old chemicals should be disposed of in their original containers as clinical or industrial waste for incineration; mask and other items can go with general waste
  • For Unused Kits Only: This REPLEN-UN pack is specifically for kits that have not been used; a separate REPLEN-USED pack is available for kits that have been deployed

Applications

Required wherever HK Mercury Spillage Kits are held in UK dental practices, hospital laboratories, school science departments, veterinary clinics and industrial facilities that use mercury-containing instruments or equipment. Keeping the replenishment schedule current ensures regulatory compliance and readiness for mercury spill incidents.
