The Seymour II Wound Care Simulator is the most comprehensive wound care training model of its kind, moulded from a 74-year-old patient for authentic appearance and feel. Redesigned with a new flexible, lifelike material, it permits the application and easy removal of dressings without leaving adhesive residue, enabling realistic and repeatable wound care practice across UK healthcare education settings.

Key Features

  • Flexible Lifelike Material: New redesigned material allows dressing application and removal without adhesive residue buildup
  • Complete Pressure Injury Staging: Displays Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 (with undermining, tunnelling, subcutaneous fat, and slough), and deep Stage 4 (with exposed bones, undermining, tunnelling, eschar, and slough)
  • Additional Wound Types: Includes suspected deep tissue injury (DTI), unstageable full eschar/slough wound, and a dehisced wound
  • Vacuum-Assisted Closure Practice: Stage 3 and Stage 4 wounds are positioned to allow "bridging" dressing demonstration for negative pressure wound therapy devices
  • Realistic Colouring: Each wound is carefully coloured to match real patient presentations for accurate visual assessment training
  • Multiple Dressings Simultaneously: Wound positioning allows several different dressing types to be demonstrated at the same time

Training Capabilities

  • Wound cleansing techniques
  • Classification and staging using NPUAP guidelines
  • Wound assessment and documentation
  • Measurement of wound length, depth, undermining, and tunnelling
  • Dressing selection and application

Applications

Essential for nursing education, tissue viability specialist training, and NHS wound care competency programmes. This simulator helps nurses, healthcare assistants, and tissue viability nurses develop accurate assessment and treatment skills for pressure injuries encountered in hospital wards, care homes, and community nursing across the UK.
